Awoken from hibernation EIKON is now starting energetically into spring and launches the latest issue EIKON #77 on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.

This time with Artist Pages on ANNA MALAGRIDA, MARKUS GUSCHELBAUER, URSULA HENTSCHLÄGER, STÉPHANE COUTURIER and KAMEN STOYANOV.

In our Forum photography expert Monika Faber talks about the challenges of the new „Photoinstitut Bonartes” and Sandro Droschl reports from the event Performa 11 in New York. EIKON #77 also provides Werner Rodlauerʼs reflections on the current situation of the art market and how things stand with regard to international art fairs, an interview with Andreas Schett and much more.

In line with the presentation of the latest issue EIKON #77 the new multimedial exhibition at the EIKON SchAUfenster “Markus Guschelbauer. disco nature” will be opened up.

Flower arrangements are invited to a dance. Deephouse beats puts fine quaking-grass in the mood and underneath the disco ball a bouquet of flowers dances lonesome and abandoned to the sound at the end of the night. At the same time butterflies buzz around the glittery ball whilst the stroboscope gets daisies and oat to swing.
