Since October 2002, international artists who do not normally reside in Austria have the opportunity to live and work at Q21 as Artists-in-Residence. By now, nine live/work studios are available in the MQ complex.
As an institution of Q21, EIKON is glad to invite an artist with the focus on photography and media art for December 2017.

The application (including motivation letter with ideas and proposal of projects for Vienna, CV, Portofolio, links to visual and audio material – max. 5 MB) can be send from now on to assistenz@eikon.at. The deadline for application is October 15, 2017.
The artist selected by EIKON is accomodate in a work/live studio as well as supported with EUR 1,050.00 per month to cover expenses. More information here.

Ernst Hilger, a long-time supporter and friend of EIKON is nominated by the daily newspaper Die Presse as Austrian of the Year 2017.
As an gallerist, since almost fifty years, he set fire to many people with his limitless interest in art, especially he was an important mentor for a lot of young artists. Above all, he has contributed to the construction of various art fairs in Vienna. Since many years he represents Austria successful at art fairs all around the world.
