Tomorrow, on April 13, this year's ART COLOGNE will open its doors! The 45th Edition of the great International art fair takes place from April 13 until April 17. Galleries will showcase modern and contemporary art as well as photography and video art etc. side by side.

ART COLOGNE offers art lovers and collectors a broad range of modern and contemporary art in all price brackets and covering all movements. 200 leading international galleries will showcase a carefully selected and curated range of top-quality 20th and 21st century artworks. Unconventional platforms such as OPEN SPACE, forward-looking programmes like NEW POSITIONS for emerging artists, the NEW CONTEMPORARIES scheme for young galleries and special exhibitions round off this art experience.

The submission deadline for the Europe-wide EIKON competition for photography 2011 on the subject of prohibitions in the space of art keeps coming closer!

All those who want to deal with the competiton´s subject can submit there photographic artwork online at www.eikon.at until April 30 by the latest!

EIKON Photography Competition 2011 will be awarding 5,000 Euros in prize money. Furthermore the three prizewinners and the best works, all chosen by an international expert jury, will then be shown in a three-week exhibition at Leopold Museum in Vienna.
