Hannes Böck, Kerstin von Gabain und Guido Kucsko konfrontieren ihre Fotowerke in einem installativen Kontext mit historischen Kunst- und Gebrauchsobjekten aus der Sammlung und dem Kunsthandel Reinhold Hofstätter. Im Rahmen einer dialogischen Führung sprechen Monika Faber (Bonartes) und Edelbert Köb - der Kurator der Ausstellung - mit den KünstlerInnen über den Kontext und Entwicklungsprozess ihrer Arbeiten sowie über die Bedingungen und Möglichkeiten künstlerischer Fotografie heute. Monika Faber, 1954 in Wien geboren, studierte Kunstgeschichte und Klassische Archäologie in Wien. Von 1979 bis 1999 war sie Kuratorin am Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien, danach Chefkuratorin der Fotosammlung in der Albertina, Wien. Seit 2011 leitet sie das Institut Bonartes für historische Fotografie in Wien. The exhibition ‘Objets Trouvés’ Hofstätter Projekte shows three positions, which offer different ways of looking at reality as well as a variety of approaches to the medium of photography. Within the context of an installation, the artists Hannes Böck, Kerstin von Gabain and Guido Kucsko confront their works with historical art and utilitarian objects from the collection as well as the Kunsthandel Reinhold Hofstätter. In a guided tour Monika Faber (Bonartes) and Edelbert Köb - the curator of the exhibition - speak with the artists about the context and developing processes of their work as well as the conditions and possibilities of art photography today. Monika Faber, born in Vienna in 1954, studied art history and classical archeology in Vienna. From 1979 to 1999 she was a curator at the Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna. Thereafter she joined the Albertina (Vienna) as chief curator of the photography collection. Since 2011, she is head of the Bonartes Institute for historical photography in Vienna.
