6. IN OUT Festival 2012

Einsendeschluss: 31.08.2012

Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdansk in Poland is organizing the sixth edition of the IN OUT Festival, which provides a great opportunity for discussions, not only between artists but also for art enthusiasts in Poland and in other countries. The main objective of the Festival is to support and promote young artists.

One of the Festival’s events is an open video competition. The entries for the earlier editions of the festival were submitted not only from countries all over Europe but also from Africa, Australia, Asia and both Americas.

This year, the Festival’s partner is – besides the Marshal of Pomorskie Voivodeship, Mr Mieczysław Struk – also the National Audiovisual Institute. The partners have funded awards of PLN 4000 and PLN 3000 respectively. Besides the money awards, the works will be awarded with special distinctions. Additionally, the best works will be published on the National Audiovisual Institute’s website and on a DVD which will be sent to the culture institutions in Poland and abroad.

The leading team of this year’s Festival is the relation between science and art – ART & SCIENCE MEETING, which is related to the project that Laznia has been doing for two years. The competition is open for artists who are below 35 years of age. The competition rules, application form and representations may be downloaded from www.laznia.pl, link to the IN OUT FESTIVAL.

The application forms with all other required documents should be submitted by the 31st of August 2012.

Join us for the Festival!

The competition final ceremony will take place during the 6th IN OUT Festival, 19-20 October 2012 in the Laznia Centre.
