In Australia, we are bringing in the new year with mixed emotions - our hearts are with those impacted by the bushfires, the firefighters and volunteers. We would also like to acknowledge the fantastic work of the photographers documenting the current crisis and keeping us informed.

Planning for Head On Photo Festival 2020 is underway and the Head On Photo Awards are now open for entries!

We want to see your knock-out images whether contemporary, classic or experimental; shot on a camera, phone or made using an alternative process.

Enter your best work for a chance to share a $70,000 prize pool and be part of one of the Festival’s most prominent exhibitions that also tours internationally.

Through our internationally acclaimed awards, finalists receive potentially career-changing recognition.
